I dont understand how this insurance thing is supposed to work if they cant even see my car, my insurance lady is in Ohio and im in PA.
Does anyone know how this is supposed to work?
My insurance lady isnt in the office right now so i just left a message.

The police mentioned are being lazy and not doing their job. In any accident involving collision and liability, the police officer on the scene has to file a report citing who was present, what happened, and who was at fault. Names and pictures are very important. They can't slack off just because there was no towing or bodily injury. If they have a problem with it, talk to a local atorney or insurance agent.

Well here in Michigan they have a new state law that says cops do not have to write a police report unless it is $1000.00 or over. Use to be $400.00. I smell a PAC from Insurance companies that got that Bill passed into law.
You might have something simular there where you live. What irritates me is what makes police officer an expert on how much damage is done to someone's car? Are they qualifide in making that call? I think not!
I have learned the hard way now to let my car sit in the middle of the road. I will not move it. I will make my call to the police and tell them I am blocking traffic. You will get a Cop real damn quick!
Oh and while you are on the phone...tell them you have a headache or your neck hurts. THEY HAVE TO RESPOND to that! hehehe

SAY YOU GOT WHIPLASH! rear-end accidents are always the person in behind's fault, unless you were reversing.

Let me correct you just a tad.
Never say you Have anything. Just say your (place body part here) hurts.
Remember you call is recorded. You want to sound as genuine as possible.
"They" can tell if you are not genuine.
I am not for scamming and lying. however, recently with me I was hit my a stoopid person and I moved my car out of the busy intersection..to be "nice" to the other people. I didn't want to screw up the traffic because of course I can't stand to be screwed up in traffic.
Well I learned not to EVER do that again. The cop shows up, and was a total Jack Boot. I found out he just finished his tour of duty in Iraq. He would not give me a police report or give this woman a citation...even though she said she was trying to get around me in the intersection. (Against the law to lane change in a intersection in Mich.) She was actually turning right from a lane that wasn't a turn lane...then changed her story to the cop.
Long story...short is, He gets in my face...I almost end up in his back seat with sturdy metal jewlery on both wrists.(I was not mean or vulger...I WAS Firm with him though) He quoted me that it had to be over a $1000.00. I said this car is a Lesabre Limited...you look at it funny and that is a $1000.00. He didnt appreciate my humor at ALL. I took my car to the shop they gave me an estimet of $1100.00. So if I had stayed in the intersection that would have proved I was hit by her. I would have been in my lane. (She lied and say I turned into her)
There is way more detail...but I will not bore you all with it....Plus thinking about it gets me all Ticked off again.
